JOB REQUIREMENTS

Assistant Intramural Supervisor
Time requirements:
An assistant supervisor is responsible for working 3-8 scheduled hours per week for most of the semester. In addition, there are training and in-service sessions to attend for which you are also paid.
Responsibilities: Provide officiating duties for most sports and assist with event set-up, implementation, and teardown for all different intramural sports. Oversee the facility and participant safety during all events and mitigate risks that exist before the start of events by applying good safety practices. In many cases, scorekeeping and timing are a part of supervision. Supervisors are expected to coordinate with other sports officials and the team captains on site and mediate any conflicts between participants and/or officials. This position must maintain CPR and first aid skills to the appropriate standards required by the American Red Cross (this training is provided).

Associate Intramural Supervisor
Time requirements:  An associate IM supervisor is responsible for working 3 office hours per week consistently for the entire semester. In addition, 1-2 hours a week to plan and support officer training sessions, in-services sessions, responding to e-mail, and working on other projects. These responsibilities are in addition to those of an assistant IM supervisor.

Responsibilities:  Work in the office to enter results, participants, and other managerial tasks.  Assist with red caps and other projects.  Assist with training and supervise entry level employees by mentoring and following up with them in regard to fulfilling their responsibilities and providing good customer service.  Provide supervision of the intramural sports and maintain the efficiency of the sports by facilitating when necessary. In addition, the position prepares equipment for sports ahead of time and ensures that the clipboards have all the necessary paperwork for the supervisors working it on any particular day.


Head Intramural Supervisor
Time requirements: A head intramural supervisor is responsible for working 3 office hours per week consistently for the entire semester. In addition, 1-2 hours a week to plan and support training sessions, in-services sessions, responding to e-mail, and working on other projects related to the program. Supervisors are required to attend a staff meeting every other week, a Head Supervisors meeting every other week, and a monthly meeting with the professional staff. This position has a monthly stipend and is not hourly wage. These responsibilities are in addition to hours you may choose to fulfill as an assistant IM supervisor from 4 pm to 10 pm most weekday.

Responsibilities: Make sure that the other supervisors enter results, participants, and other data properly. Organize and run red caps and other projects including a semester goal. Create the work schedule for all IM supervisors and complete payroll monthly. Ensure that a newsletter is created each month and an intramural report each semester. Give a presentation on the IM department at one of the all supervisor meetings. Assist with training and supervise entry level employees by mentoring and following up with them in regard to fulfilling their responsibilities and providing good customer service. Provide supervision of the intramural sports and maintain the efficiency of the sports by facilitating when necessary. In addition, the position prepares equipment for sports ahead of time and ensures that the clipboards have all the necessary paperwork for the supervisors working it on any particular day.
