Parent Volunteers Needed
Lafayette Parent Advisory Committee
Members will review programs and topics of interest and provide valuable input and recommendations from a parent’s perspective to various administration departments. The committee may serve as a focus group or the committee may initiate a discussion and information request on a particular topic. Members commit to attend two meetings during the academic year, either on campus or via teleconference. Members may also be asked to provide input via email throughout the year.
If a department on campus is in need of parent assistance, a request will be sent during the year asking for volunteers for a particular program or asking members to send input on a specific topic. At those times, you will receive the request from the Parent Relations Office and have the opportunity to volunteer your time or input.
The fall meeting will be held on the Sunday of Family Weekend, September 30, 2018. A second meeting will be held in April. Members are also asked to attend Family Weekend if possible so they can review the program and offer recommendations to the student planning committee for the following year.
Parents of first-year and upper-level students are needed to represent all four classes.
